June Wang

Dr. June Wang currently serves as Senior Vice President at Futurewei Technologies. She has 20 years of experience in companies such as Qualcomm, Ericsson, Huawei, etc., with expertise in product management, strategy, marketing, and business development in wireless terminals and the mobile ecosystem.

She was also a pivotal leader in account management interfacing with large U.S operators such as Verizon Wireless. In 2015, Dr. Wang helped drive breakthroughs like partnering with Google on the Nexus 6P and Android Wear flagship device. In 2016 she led a team to build a joint lab with Microsoft to support her company’s PC product line. In 2017-2018 her team gained Google VR/AR/Lens Product Area certification and supported partners’ efforts on the first rollout of Android Go and Android Messaging (RCS). In recent years, Dr. Wang’s department focusing on managing master agreements/contracts that are fully compliant with local regulations with top partners in the ecosystem. She believes in the power of open source and fully supports the WebXR efforts in the community.
